General information

The subject matter of these terms and conditions is the participation in the First International Face2Face Fundraising Congress (2021, Vienna – Austria). By submitting a completed registration form, you are making a binding offer to the organizers of the congress, the Fundraising Association Austria, to conclude a contract and thereby simultaneously accept these General Terms and Conditions.

Registration

Registrations for events are made by email and are binding. You will receive a confirmation of registration by email after registration. A binding contract is only concluded upon written confirmation by Fundraising Association Austria, along with consignation of the invoice.

Places are allocated in the order in which registrations are received. The number of participants is limited. Customers who have booked and fully paid for events are entitled to participate in exactly these events. Events that have not been consumed will be forfeited, there will be no refunds or credits from the Fundraising Association Austria.

Terms of payment

The invoice will be sent to you by email. We ask you to pay the invoice within 14 days after receipt, unless it is otherwise agreed. The invoice is payable via bank transfer upon receipt of invoice. All associated bank charges and fees have to be borne by the payer.

During this time we will reserve your place. A definite right to participate in the event will only result from full payment of the participation fee. Full payment must be received at least three weeks before the conference. We are unable to take payment onsite at the conference itself. If the participation fee is not paid by the day of the event, there is no claim to participation in the event. However, the Fundraising Association’s claim to payment of the invoice continues to exist without deductions.

The participation fee is a final price. Value added tax will not be charged.

An Early Bird discount is only valid if registration and payment are made on time – if the specified payment deadline is exceeded, the Early Bird discount also expires.

The respective total participation fees include the participation in the event as well as all materials required for the event. There are no further expenses for participants that are absolutely necessary for participation. Any food and drink offered (all lunches and 1 dinner) at the event is also included in the participation fee. Other costs for food and drinks not offered in connection with the event, as well as possible fees for cloakroom, parking, travel and accommodation are to be paid by the participants themselves and are not included in the participation fee. 

Cancellation of registration, withdrawal modalities

Cancellation of the booking must be made in writing; the decisive factor is the Date of receipt of the withdrawal notice by the Fundraising Association Austria. In case of withdrawal, the costs incurred, or the possibility of a refund of the participation fee, depend on the receipt of the withdrawal notice. 

In the event of withdrawal, the following costs are payable immediately:

  • Withdrawal until October 31st 2020: free of charge.
  • Withdrawal up to 4 months before the congress: a one-off processing fee of € 100.
  • Cancellation up to 3 months before the congress: 50 % of the total participation fees.
  • In case of withdrawal within 3 months of the congress date, in case of non-appearance or in case of force majeure, the total participation fee has to be paid.

The Fundraising Association Austria will retain any fees already paid, or any fees not yet paid will be due immediately and invoiced. Failure to attend the event for any reason whatsoever shall be deemed equivalent to withdrawal within 3 months of the congress date.

The transfer of the registration to another person is possible by informal written notification via email to f2f-congress@fundraising.at up to 48 hours before the event.

Execution of events, cancellation, discontinuation, changes

The Fundraising Association reserves the right to cancel the event at any time if necessary. In this case, the participants will receive a refund of their participation fees if they have already paid. Except for the refund, there is no claim to a replacement service or date. Any expenses incurred in connection with the cancellation, as well as any expenses incurred by the participant(s) and rendered superfluous by the cancellation, will not be refunded.

The Fundraising Association Austria points out that the content and course of the event and the speakers can be changed at short notice if necessary, provided the overall character of the event is maintained. This does not entitle the participant to withdraw from the contract. A claim for damages is excluded.

Legal venue

The substantive law of the Federal Republic of Austria shall apply. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from participation in the event is Vienna.

The invalidity of one of the above conditions does not affect the validity of the remaining conditions.
