    • A Changing Acquisition Landscape - Insights for Face-to-Face Across Markets

      Level: Basic

This session explores the external and sector trends shaping acquisition, and how they are impacting face-to-face fundraising across different markets. Drawing on global insights alongside examples from both emerging and mature programmes, we will explore what is shifting, where changes are showing up first, and how organisations are adapting in practice.

From expansion into new markets, such as Botswana or Kenya, to evolving models and the use of technology, we will show how these trends translate into real operational decisions. The session highlights key differences between markets, what can and cannot be transferred across contexts, and what organisations can learn to stay effective in an increasingly complex environment.

    🗣️ Debate

    • Face to Face Fundraising On Fire: Heated debate on the hottest topics in F2F today

The session will raise the most challenging and controversial issue within and impacting face to face fundraising internationally. Facilitated by one of the face to face fundraising pioneers in the 1990s, Daryl Upsall, questions will be put to an experienced international panel and then also thrown to the audience. Nothing will be off limits, and expect fireworks, in this lively and fully participatory debate. Questions will be tough as we seek answers and solutions to the challenges we face. Let the battle begin.

    • 2A: Donor Retention & Donor Value

      #Donor Retention

      Level: Advanced

Norwegian Refugee Council is implementing a series of measures to improve donor retention in the first months – with already early results in terms of cost saving and increasing donor value.

In this session we’ll be sharing practices and data on items connected with systems for donor retention, monitoring of KPIs and engagement of fundraising staff.

The objective is to help organizations and agencies to move beyond an optic of volume and static retention curves, and into a value approach that improves investments and helps with the sustainability of markets.

    • Building Sustainable F2F Markets in Southeast Asia

      Level: Advanced

What if the way we measure F2F success is actually limiting donor Lifetime Value? This session examines how volume-driven acquisition models impact long-term donor retention and what the evidence from Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing F2F market tells us about building campaigns that maximise LTV. Drawing on 12 years of multi-client operations in Malaysia, we explore what agencies and charities can jointly control to shift F2F from a cost centre to a sustainable income stream.
